Don’t Opt for a One-Size-Fits-All Workout
Resist the trap of comparing your exercise routine or your capabilities to others. Yoga can be tempered for each individual. It’s important to focus on what you can do and what’s best for your body, and to adjust your practice to meet your needs.
If you want to start a yoga practice or focus on a specific issue or goal, you may want individual attention. Would you like to ask as many questions as you want? Or get the answers before you ask?
If so, private yoga would be perfect for you. Traditionally yoga was taught one-to-one. The teacher could give their undivided attention, carefully observing the student and teaching what was appropriate to the moment. Private yoga is invaluable for students of all levels and experience.
How does it work?
For the first session, we meet for a 90-120 minute initial interview to review your history, goals, issues, and conditions. Standing, sitting, and on the mat, we have a physical assessment to determine your abilities and challenges so that I can carefully craft a practice for your individual needs.
The first intake session (90-120 minutes) is $100
Following 60 minute sessions are $60 each
An introductory package for the first four sessions is $240.
Add $15 a class for each additional student.
Your private session will take place at my beautiful home studio in West Asheville. My yard is part of my holistic approach — a healthy body starts with a healthy diet. You will enter through my new organic garden, planted with drought-tolerant natives, plus herbs and veggies. It’s also pollinator-friendly to feed the birds and the bees.
Wear comfortable clothing and kindly arrive 5 minutes before your appointment time.
Another option is to have a yoga session at your home to help you create a space for your regular home practice, for an additional fee of $15.
