A year ago I had back surgery for a ruptured disc (L5-S1). I could barely walk at all and was unable to stand up straight. The pain was unbearable. The surgery successfully relieved the sciatica pain in my leg, but I still had pain in my back and hip. The recovery from surgery was very difficult since they had to cut through so much muscle to get to my back. Afterward, I was very stiff and could not bend at the waist.
My roommate told me about Ann’s class, and I decided to give it a try, even though I was hesitant since I thought there would be lots of crazy bends and movements that I wouldn’t be able do. I felt improvement in my pain levels after the first class. I felt an increase in flexibility after two or three classes. Ann’s class has been very helpful in relieving my back pain and allowing me to regain coordination. I’ve been going for about 9 months now, and am now more flexible then I have been in many years. I am also almost completely pain free, and have even started jogging again. I feel like in a few more months I will be 100% pain free. The class has also improved my posture and taught me the correct way to move. I am very grateful for Ann and her class.
